Cancellation windows

Flight tickets

Charter flight tickets are issued separately from the tour cost. Once issued, they are non-refundable. Rescheduling to a different departure date is permitted at no cost to you, but the airline charges AED 800 per person for schedule changes. Your operator will inform you of any changes as soon as they are known.

Deposit and payment schedule

• A $1,400 deposit is due at booking (covers the charter flight + tour deposit)
• The remaining balance is due 45 days before departure
• A 60% / 40% split is available: 60% at booking, 40% due 3 months before departure
• Final deadline for full payment is 14 days before travel

Travel insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and covers you if you need to cancel. A policy that includes trip cancellation, emergency medical, and personal liability is appropriate for Socotra. Operators typically do not include insurance in the package price and are not liable for costs arising from cancellations, delays, or incidents outside their control.

Itinerary changes

Operators reserve the right to alter the day-by-day itinerary due to weather conditions, sea state, or political situations. The flexible, conditions-responsive approach is a feature — not every day runs as written. You will be notified of any significant changes in advance where possible.

Code of conduct

Participants are expected to respect the island's environment, local customs, and fellow travellers. Behaviour that is inconsistent with this — including disrespect toward guides, local communities, or the landscape — may result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.

Photography consent

Operators may photograph and film participants during the trip and may use this material on their own websites and social channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, tell them before the trip begins.
